Derwentwater Designs
Derwentwater Designs Cross Stitch kits are produced in the beautiful English Lake District, home of William Wordsworth and the Lakeland poets. The interest for the cross stitch projects that Rose Swalwell produced became so great, that in the mid eighties she founded Derwentwater Designs to manufacture and later distribute complete embroidery kits commercially. The firm has since grown to national prominence. Many of the Derwentwater Designs cross stitch kits are still designed by Rose. The work of other talented designers is also used - such as Jean Coats who is responsible for their longstitch collection.
